Chiapas in south east Mexico, was a Mayan city which reached its

600 to 750 AD – Earthquake, collapse
of the ancient Metropol of 600 AD. Teotihuaca was the largest city in
the Americas and the 6th largest city in the world, at the
time. With 120,000 to 200,000 people. 700 to 750 D the city
collapsed, looting and burning at Teotihuaca. Thousands of people wer

established a tribunal of the Holy office of the inquisition in

prosecution of all the men from John Hawkyns fleet still in the
colony. 31 men were thrown into a secret prison of the Holy office

23 Sept 1846 – Monterrey town in
southern California was captured from the Mexicans by the Americans
under general Taylor and his success was followed by the occupation
of the whole of northern Mexico by the American army.
1848 – The Mexican war gave the US

1861-1863 – In 1861 troops from the
UK, Spain and France landed at Veracruz in Mexico, later the British
and Spanish left. French troops arrived and launched a civil war
which claimed 50,000 lives. They drove Juarez and his people out of

assassination of Leon Trotsky. He fled to Mexico away from Stalin.

flourished in the 1940s with corrupt officials in Mexico and the US.

August 1940 – Joseph Stalin’s
secret police the NKVD, later the KGB state terror. Trotsky was
expelled from the Soviet Union in 1929 moving from Turkey to Mexico.
Stalin’s agents in august 1940 Mexico murdered him. Trotsky died
slowly in hospital from his injuries. His murderer was Spanish
communist, Ramon Mercador ,who Mexico jailed for the killing in 1943.
He was released in 1960. Mercador went to the Soviet Union to receive

Aug 1940 – In Mexico, FBI agent Gus T
Jones and Soviet dissident Leon Trotsky. Jacques Mornard van den
Drescha was the man who axed Trotsky in the head, on the orders of

1941-42 – The FBI and the head of
German intel ops in Mexico, Geog Nikolaus, was under surveillance but
was at large. Nikolaus continued to operate. In mid Dec 1941 he sent

1942 – Gerhardt Wilhelm Kuntz was
conducting Nazi activities in the US from Mexico. FBI agent Gus Jones
